- No. Every pick'em league is free to create and join. Premium adds AI and capacity perks — it never gates the competition itself.
- Do I need an account to use the AI assistant?
- Yes. Create a free Standard account to get 100 Yards on signup and 100 more each month — around 33 AI answers. That is enough to try the analyst and play in leagues.
- What are Yards?
- Yards are credits that power the AI football analyst. An answer costs Yards based on the work it actually took — which models ran, how long the answer was, and whether it needed live web research — so a quick stat lookup costs far less than a deep breakdown. A typical free-account answer is about 3 Yards. Standard accounts get 100 Yards on signup and 100 more each month; Premium members get 2,000 a month. Buy a Yards pack anytime for a top-up.
- Do I have to go Premium to get more AI chat?
- No — those are two separate things. A Yards pack is a one-time top-up you can buy on a Standard account; it adds chat and nothing else. Premium is a monthly subscription that swaps in Claude Sonnet 5 and GPT-4.1 as your analysts, grants 2,000 Yards every month, and unlocks unlimited leagues, bigger leagues, and free extra brackets. Packs are the cheaper way to buy raw chat; Premium is how you get the better models.
- Can I cancel Premium?
- Any time, from your dashboard. You keep Premium through the end of the period you already paid for, then drop back to a Standard account — your leagues, picks, and history stay put.
- How do playoff brackets work?
- Complete one full week of Pick'em picks in any league to unlock one free bracket per season. Additional brackets cost $25 each on a Standard account and nothing on Premium. Make picks via chat and track your score on the bracket page.
- What's the difference between straight-up and confidence scoring?
- Straight-up awards 1 point per correct pick. Confidence scoring lets you rank your picks — more points when you're right on your most confident games. See the docs for details.
